Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, and operational needs.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and alternate sources to ensure cost competitiveness and supply continuity.
Lead vendor negotiations for pricing, long-term contracts, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
Oversee packaging specifications, new packaging development, artwork approvals, and active waste reduction initiatives.
Ensure timely material availability while maintaining optimum quality, lean inventory levels, and reduced lead times.
Evaluate and track supplier performance metrics based on cost efficiency, quality standards, and delivery accuracy.
Build strong supplier relationships and resolve complex issues regarding material quality, pricing, and delayed deliveries.
Collaborate closely with Production, Stores, QA, Finance, and other internal teams to guarantee uninterrupted material availability.
Lead, mentor, and guide the procurement and packaging teams while monitoring and driving overall departmental KPIs.
Ensure strict adherence to Food Safety, QMS, Halal guidelines, and ISO requirements while assessing procurement risks.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
8-10+ years of procurement and Packaging experience, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG, with team leadership.
Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost-analysis skills.
Knowledge of ISO 22000:2018, QMS, and Halal requirements.
Hands-on experience with SAP and proficiency in MS Office.
