Branch Manager - Retail Banking

Key Responsibilities

Business Planning & Strategy: Implement annual and interim business plans and budgets finalized by the Area Manager. Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to capture new business and expand the customer base.

Sales & Revenue Generation: Attain the planned deposit mix with a focus on profitability. Increase the low-risk credit portfolio and minimize Non-Performing Loans (NPLs). Achieve individual and branch sales goals through new business sales, referrals, and retention of existing account relationships.

Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain profitable business relationships with clients. Enhance service quality at the branch to ensure superior customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Team Leadership & Development: Promote a strong sales and service culture through coaching, guidance, and staff motivation. Strategize career progression and growth plans for team members by identifying training and development needs.

Operational Oversight & Compliance: Oversee key operational activities to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), internal controls, and regulatory requirements. Maintain branch discipline and harmony. Liaise with regulators as directed by the Area Head.

Reporting & Administration: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales performance and review MIS reports to identify areas for improvement. Manage administrative issues including branch visits, customer visits, audit discussions, and HR-related functions.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree (as specified in the advertisement).

Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record in branch management, sales, and operations within the banking sector.

In-depth knowledge of retail banking products and regulatory frameworks.
