Job Description

Job Summary

NQ Pharma is seeking a competent and experienced Manager Utilities to oversee utility operations at its manufacturing facility in Karachi. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in pharmaceutical utility systems and experience working within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of all pharmaceutical utility systems.

Ensure uninterrupted availability of critical utilities required for manufacturing operations.

Supervise utility equipment, systems, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

Ensure compliance with GMP, WHO, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Monitor utility performance, energy consumption, and system efficiency.

Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other departments to resolve utility-related issues.

Maintain proper documentation, records, SOPs, and maintenance reports.

Ensure utilities remain compliant with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Lead utility-related projects, upgrades, installations, and commissioning activities.

Manage utility vendors, contractors, and service providers when required.

Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives across utility operations.

 

Required Qualifications

B.E./B.Sc. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.

10+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical utility systems and maintenance practices.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical utility systems and maintenance practices.

Knowledge of GMP, WHO, and regulatory requirements.

Understanding of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment reliability.

Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Good project management and analytical skills.

Ability to work effectively in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
