Compliance Officer

Job Summary

Al Habib Exchange Company is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its Compliance Department at the Head Office in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the currency exchange industry and a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, internal controls, and documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and internal procedures.

Review and monitor transactions to identify potential compliance concerns and irregularities.

Support the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and controls.

Conduct regular compliance reviews and assist with internal and regulatory audits.

Maintain accurate compliance records, reports, and documentation.

Assist in monitoring AML/CFT and other regulatory compliance requirements.

Identify, investigate, and report potential compliance violations or suspicious activities in accordance with applicable procedures.

Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve compliance-related issues.

Keep updated on regulatory changes affecting the currency exchange business.

Prepare compliance reports and provide necessary information to management and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

Graduate from a recognized institution.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably within a currency exchange company or financial services environment.

Good understanding of compliance procedures and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge of AML/CFT and KYC requirements will be an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
