Area Sales Manager

Role Summary

The candidate will be responsible for driving sales activities within the assigned region, with a particular focus on identifying opportunities for new site development. Key duties include managing sales at commissioned sites, ensuring high standards of sales and customer service, and managing relationships with stakeholders (including retailers and key institutions). The role also requires strict adherence to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) standards.

Main Job Responsibilities

• Financial & Credit Management: Recommend credit facilities for retail sales, track payment cycles, and ensure timely recoveries.
• Sales Reporting: Report monthly sales performance against set targets to senior management.
• Site Development: Identify commercially and technically viable dealer sites for COCO (Company Owned, Company Operated) conversion, and manage the commissioning of new retail sites.
• Agreements & Leases: Stay on top of lease expiries and renewals, franchise agreements, and COCO agreements to timely manage company exposure. Ensure all dealer agreements are current and facilitate the renewal of franchise and other dealer agreements. Also responsible for the registration of pump leases and their franchise agreements.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure compliance with HSSE standards for safe and standardized operations on sites.
• Supply Chain Liaison: Maintain close liaison with dealers to ensure an uninterrupted supply of petroleum products from company depots and refineries.

 Qualifications & Experience

• Education: BBA / MBA
• Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably within an OMC (Oil Marketing Company).
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Knowledge of sales reporting, planning, and analytics.
  • Good communication and customer handling abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
