Job Description

Power Cement, part of the prestigious Arif Habib Group, is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of HSE to lead its Health, Safety & Environment Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strategies, ensuring compliance with national and international standards, and driving continuous improvement in HSE outcomes across the plant.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement HSE frameworks, benchmarking, and best practices to enhance safety outcomes.
  • Provide expert guidance and leadership on HSE performance and strategies.
  • Facilitate business partnerships to drive changes in tools, PPE, and work practices.
  • Plan and conduct employee training to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws, permits, and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
  • Implement IFC (International Finance Corporation) standards PS1 to PS4 within the company.
  • Participate in HSE ISO certifications and audits (OHS 45001, EMS 14001 & QMS 9001).
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations and maintain proper records.
  • Monitor and review HSE procedures and recommend preventive strategies.

 

Qualification & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering from a reputed university. Relevant HSE certifications (NEBOSH, OHSAS, IOSH) are mandatory.
  • Experience: 12–15 years in the process industry (cement industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of IFC Standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CMMS, and MS Project.
  • Proven leadership in driving and implementing change initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Professional certifications: NEBOSH (IGC), OHSAS, IOSH Managing Safely.
