Job Description

Job Summary:
HR Business Solutions is hiring a General Manager – Administration to lead and manage the overall administrative functions of the company. This role is ideal for a retired armed forces officer (Lt. Col/Major rank, up to age 50) with extensive administrative experience, preferably in an industrial setup.

 

Requirements:

  • Retired from the Armed Forces (Rank: Lt. Col/Major)
  • Age: Up to 50 years
  • Vast experience in administration and managing multiple functions
  • Industrial experience will be preferred

 

Objective / Key Responsibilities:

To supervise, control, and direct the organization’s support services, ensuring operational efficiency across the following core areas:

 

1. Security:

  • Design and implement a company-wide security plan (physical, assets, and materials)
  • Maintain records for inward/outward movement at company gates (visitors, staff, vehicles, etc.)
  • Hire, train, and manage security personnel for effective operational control
     

2. Transport:

  • Oversee transport operations for company vehicles including buses and trucks
  • Manage repair and maintenance of vehicles in liaison with insurance companies
  • Monitor vehicle utilization, mileage, logbooks, licensing, and fuel consumption
  • Plan training sessions and assess staff training needs
     

3. General Administration:

  • Implement administrative policies in coordination with the HR department (e.g., dress code, ID protocols, attendance)
  • Liaise with local government and administrative departments
  • Manage company housing, guest houses, and dormitories
  • Supervise housekeeping for production and office facilities
  • Maintain communication equipment (telephones, fax, IT devices)
  • Oversee electric and AC/cooling installations with relevant departments
  • Maintain cleanliness, gardening, reception, and overall site appearance
  • Coordinate housekeeping fittings with the Mechanical team
  • Execute any additional duties assigned by senior management
