Job Description

PATEX is seeking an experienced Procurement Professional to lead end-to-end purchasing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the steel and cement industries, along with hands-on expertise in foreign procurement, import processes, and local sourcing.

The role involves strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, budgeting, and ensuring smooth procurement flow in coordination with finance, warehouse, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations
• Manage costing, price analysis, and overall procurement budgeting
• Oversee foreign procurement and import operations (including LCs, HS codes, commercial documentation, and coordination with clearing agents)
• Manage local procurement activities related to industrial materials
• Handle RFQs, BOQs, PR/PO cycles, and evaluate vendor performance
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support long-term supplier development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless procurement processes
• Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain accurate ERP/SAP records

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10 years of core procurement experience
• Strong analytical, costing, and negotiation skills
• Hands-on expertise in foreign procurement and import processes
• Proficiency in ERP/SAP (preferred)
• Excellent communication and vendor management capabilities
