Job Summary:

Midas Safety is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager – Procurement (Trims) to join our dynamic Procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for trims and accessories, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires strong negotiation skills, supplier management expertise, and a solid understanding of textile manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for trims procurement aligned with organizational goals.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with internal departments (production, planning, quality, etc.) to understand trim requirements and timelines.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal value.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any supply issues or delays proactively.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure competitive procurement.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or B.E. (Textile). MBA preferred.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, specifically in trims within the textile/apparel industry.
   

Key Competencies:

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office tools.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Sound knowledge of textile trims and their sourcing.
