Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Manager to establish, implement, and continuously improve our factory’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS). This pivotal leadership role ensures our operations not only comply with legal standards but also foster a world-class culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the HSE Management System in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 standards and local legal requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify workplace hazards and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead all incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective actions.
- Oversee fire safety systems, emergency preparedness plans, and conduct regular fire drills.
- Manage the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) program, including inventory, testing, and ensuring proper usage across all operations.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive HSE training and awareness programs to embed a strong safety culture at all organizational levels.
- Ensure all necessary environmental and safety permits are obtained and maintained.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Sciences or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant HSE management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Professional certifications in NEBCSH, ICSH, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 are essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local and international Environmental and Safety laws and regulations.
- Proven leadership and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence safety culture and drive improvement.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on proactive problem-solving and risk management.
