Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required:
- Education: DAE (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical & Environment), NEBOSH, ISO, or other relevant certifications.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in power production or HSE management.
Candidates proficient in Chinese will be given preference. - Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of HSE laws, standards, and risk management practices.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement all approved HSE-related policies at the site.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEQS, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
- Enforce Permit to Work (PTW), confined space entry, and hot work procedures.
- Monitor HSE compliance in chemical handling, ash disposal, and chemical usage.
- Supervise site traffic management, vehicle and driver qualification reviews, fire protection, and security systems.
- Oversee safety and production processes; issue and record assessment sheets and hot work permits.
- Conduct safety inductions for new employees and visitors; manage company and contractor certifications.
- Participate in contractor safety management, review documentation, and inspect third-party equipment.
- Continuously study and update HSE laws and provide improvement recommendations.
- Identify production risks/hazards and suggest appropriate control measures.
- Prepare, collect, and compile documents and records for NEPRA’s annual HSE assessment.
