Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Team Lead for our Finishing & Packing department. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven engineering professional with over 8 years of experience in the apparel industry. You will be responsible for leading all finishing, folding, and packing operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance are met to satisfy buyer specifications and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence & Production Management:

• Monitor and analyze daily production plans versus actual performance, conducting root cause analysis for any variances.
• Evaluate PPC (Production Planning and Control) targets and coordinate necessary adjustments to ensure on-time shipment.
• Oversee all finishing, folding, and packing operations to guarantee adherence to buyer specifications and quality standards.

Quality Control & Compliance:

• Maintain Defect per Hundred Units (DHU) within strict tolerance limits through rigorous in-line and end-line quality checks.
• Ensure full adherence to all Finishing Department SOPs, sustainability standards, and buyer compliance requirements.
• Conduct regular audits to maintain process discipline and achieve zero non-conformities.

Efficiency & Waste Control:

• Control rework levels and minimize material wastage through data-driven reviews and efficiency initiatives.
• Analyze daily productivity and efficiency reports, implementing timely corrective and preventive actions.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and provide technical training to the finishing and packing teams to enhance skills and performance.
• Drive succession planning to build a robust and capable team for the future.

Workplace Safety & Organization:

• Enforce 5S methodology, Health & Safety protocols, and environmental compliance across all finishing sections.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• 14 years of education in Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience:

• More than 8 years of hands-on experience within the Apparel Industry, specifically in the Finishing department.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
