Shahmurad Sugar Mills is seeking two qualified and detail-oriented Accounts Officers to join our Head Office finance team in Karachi. This role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Accounts Officer will be responsible for managing key accounts payable and general accounting functions. Key duties include:

• Invoice Processing: Posting supplier invoices after performing a three-way match (Invoice, Goods Receipt Note, and Purchase Order).
• Payment Management: Preparing and processing advance payments and regular supplier payments in line with the company's credit policy.
• Supplier Reconciliation: Conducting regular and accurate reconciliation of supplier accounts.
• Tax Compliance: Depositing withheld sales tax and income tax into the government treasury.
• Voucher Posting: Posting petty cash payment vouchers and journal vouchers for Head Office expenses based on approved invoices.
• Liaison & Audits: Coordinating with the internal income tax and sales tax functions, as well as external auditors, to provide necessary supplier-related information.
• Additional Duties: Performing any other related tasks assigned by the management.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• ICMA (Inter)
• ACCA (Part Qualified)
• MBA Finance

Experience:

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or FMCG industry.

• Exposure to costing and general accounting functions is highly preferred.
