Position Overview:

Iqra University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader for the position of Principal – Nursing. This role requires strategic vision, academic expertise, and leadership excellence to oversee the Department of Nursing, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and delivering high-quality education.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Education: PhD (preferred) or Master’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
• Experience: 8 to 10 years of relevant academic and administrative leadership experience
• Certification: Valid registration with the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC)
• Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities
   

Purpose of the Role:

The Principal – Nursing will lead the department by promoting academic excellence, aligning with PNC and HEC regulations, and ensuring top-tier student outcomes. This role involves policy implementation, faculty development, strategic planning, and external partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define academic vision and set strategic goals for the Department of Nursing
• Ensure compliance with PNC and HEC standards and regulations
• Oversee curriculum design, faculty performance, and academic evaluations
• Establish partnerships with hospitals and healthcare institutions for clinical placements
• Encourage student-centered teaching methods and academic innovation
• Promote evidence-based practices and faculty research
• Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and infrastructure
• Represent the faculty in university councils and key academic forums
