Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Sr. Manager for Financial Planning & Business Excellence. This pivotal role will act as a financial advisor to the business, driving financial strategy, operational efficiency, and performance improvement across our textile and fashion retail divisions. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a proven track record in a multi-divisional organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Prepare and present insightful management reports, variance analyses, and business performance dashboards for the CFO and Executive Committee.
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support business strategy and investment decisions.
- Support the CFO in preparing financial presentations for the Board and investors.
Business Performance & Profitability:
- Evaluate product line and brand profitability, cost structures, and pricing strategies.
- Partner with merchandising, retail, and manufacturing teams to assess the financial impact of new product launches, store openings, and sourcing decisions.
- Evaluate ROI and payback analysis for new store openings, marketing campaigns, and production efficiency programs.
Operational Excellence & Cost Optimization:
- Drive operational efficiency and process excellence across supply chain, manufacturing, and retail operations.
- Lead initiatives in cost optimization, productivity improvement, and working capital management.
- Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to optimize material utilization and reduce wastage.
- Develop and monitor performance KPIs across departments to track strategic execution.
Strategic Projects & Compliance:
- Support the CFO in strategic projects such as mergers, acquisitions, new investments, and expansion analysis.
- Facilitate business reviews and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve performance gaps.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, internal controls, and reporting standards.
- Work closely with internal audit and finance control teams to strengthen business discipline and transparency.
Digital Transformation:
- Support digital transformation, ERP enhancement, and automation initiatives to improve reporting accuracy and decision-making speed.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical, strategic, and financial modeling skills.
- Business acumen with a deep understanding of textile manufacturing, retail operations, and product lifecycle economics.
- Expertise in budgeting, cost management, and performance improvement frameworks (Lean/Six Sigma exposure preferred).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365, SAP, or Oracle) and Advanced Excel/Power BI.
- Hands-on and detail-oriented, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Prior experience in a group-level or multi-division organization is preferred.
- Exposure to digital transformation or performance management systems will be an advantage.
