Utopia Industries is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Executive Stores (Diesel Inventory) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant management of our diesel inventory. This includes overseeing storage, documentation, fueling operations, and coordinating with procurement, all while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
Job Overview
You will ensure the safe and effective management of diesel inventory, including storage, documentation, and fueling operations. Your role is critical in maintaining compliance with all safety standards and coordinating seamlessly with the procurement team.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance:
- Implement emergency evacuation procedures and control measures for fire/explosion hazards.
- Enforce strict compliance with PPE usage and ensure vehicle engines are switched off during fueling.
- Apply effective spill control and prevention techniques to minimize risks.
- Respond immediately to emergencies by operating the Emergency Shut-off Switch and other safety mechanisms.
- Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers (checking expiry dates and pressure levels) to ensure they are always operational.
- Perform daily inspections and report any leaks, corrosion, fuel odors, or unsafe conditions.
- Control and prevent static electricity hazards during all fueling and storage activities.
Administrative & Operational:
- Manage all documentation and record-keeping for diesel inventory.
- Coordinate with the Procurement department for diesel purchase and arrangement.
- Handle and maintain accurate records for diesel dispatch documentation to ensure full accountability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in fuel inventory/store management.
- Hands-on expertise in operating fuel pump stations.
- Strict adherence to “No Smoking / No Mobile Phone” policies in hazardous areas.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems.
- Basic “First Aid” knowledge for handling minor emergencies.
